Setting Sun Through the Grass

I took this photo at the end of a road in the bush, close to where I live. It was taken at about 5.30-6pm, just as the sun had started to set. To take the photo, I crouched down in some long grass by the side of the road, and focused in on the closer blades of grass to the left of the image. The original image was a bit dark in the foreground, so I used Photoshop to increase the saturation and vibrance levels slightly.

  1. I like this photo because the way the grass in the foreground is in foucus so much you can see the seeds but the grass in the background is blurred from the sun and the horizon line is along the rule of thrids lines which makes the photo even better.

  3. This photo has a nostalgic effect. It reminds me of something but I just remember what it might be. The few strands of grass in the foreground are quite clear and has great detail. The setting sun sets a cheerful mood upon the picture.

I like this photo for its beauty, lovely colour and fantastic composition. Well done.
